Uma Noite Da Cultura FUNDRAISER May 23, 5:30pm
Due to recent developments with COVID-19, we are postponing this event until May 23. Please stay tuned for details.
We are now selling tickets to Uma Noite da Cultura, an evening of entertainment and community. Located inside the historic T&P building in downtown Fort Worth (connected to the TRE/TexRail station), this Fundraising Dinner, Show and Raffle on May 23, 5:30 pm will feature dinner catered by Chef Kumani and desserts by Planted Bakery, accompanied by a full hour cultural show highlighting local artists, and a raffle with amazing goodies including spa certificates and gift baskets to original art and signed sports paraphernalia! Seating is limited, so don’t delay in getting your ticket!
Our mission as a cultural school is to keep our work relevant and authentic, and we do this by regularly bringing masters of the arts from around the world to teach in our various programs around Fort Worth. Support our mission by enjoying a Night of Culture (Uma Noite da Cultura) with us on Sat, May 23rd.
We are so excited to partner with Chef Kumani for an amazing menu, including a vegan option!
All meals are gluten free, and will be accompanied by a tasty Hibiscus Peach Tea.
We will also feature VEGAN desserts by Planted Bakery, including their raw tarts and mini cupcakes!
The show kicks off right after dinner service, for a full hour of culturally-situated fun, including:
- Maculelê and Capoeira Regional with Fort Worth Capoeira
- Dança Afro and Samba de Roda with Ondas Community
- Singer-Songwriter Brandi Pace (Decolonizing the Music Room)
- Live drumming with Alejandro Perez (Journeyman Ink) and Baba Kwasi (Ayubu Kamau Kings and Queens)
- Afro-Latin dance with Juleon & Anais (Pura Vida Afro-Latin Dance)
